MEET THE TEAM
Lenora Coates
First and foremost, Lenora considers her primary calling to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Her second calling is to be a wife to her husband, Grant since 1995. After that she is called to be a mom to 3 adult daughters and Lolli to her Grands. Her passion is helping people grow in their relationship with God and others. Through her experiences working at 3 churches as well as 2 non-profit ministries as an administrative assistant, event coordinator, program director, and executive director, God has left some things for her to glean along the way and she hopes to pass some of these along in order to build others up. It is her desire to share the tools she has acquired along her 25+ year journey with God to help you bridge the gap to the arena God has called you to serve in His Kingdom. She wants to see people saved, healed and set free so they can be equipped and empowered to fulfill their divine destiny flourishing on this side of heaven. Marilyn Dantin
Marilyn was baptized at age 12 but rededicated her life at age 19 when her fiancé brought her back to church. She has been married to her husband Danny since 2005 and they have one adult son named Christian. They love to travel and take their beloved Boxer, Gracie on adventures.
Marilyn has spent 15+ years serving in a wide variety of roles in children’s ministry until April of 2022 when she and her husband sold their home, moved across town and became full-time RV’ers. Her family began attending a new church where she is now employed and they are very active in the ministry. Danny and Marilyn are also Chapter Leaders for Gathering of Nomads at their home base site in Conroe, Texas. They love to feed people, physically and spiritually. They never want anyone to leave hungry!

Beverly Moon
Beverly is a vibrant and inspiring figure whose life is woven with the threads of faith, family, and service. With deep roots in the church, thanks to her grandfather’s pastoral legacy, she was dedicated to God from a young age. Her journey is a testament to the power of love and the importance of sharing one’s story to uplift others. As an outgoing and creative individual, Beverly has made it her mission to shine God’s love in every aspect of her life. She believes that daily responsibilities can be transformed into moments of ministry, where every interaction is an opportunity to spread joy and encouragement. Her passion for God is the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her relationships with her children, and her cherished twin grandsons and dear friends. Beverly’s love for cooking goes beyond mere nourishment; she views it as a ministry in itself. By feeding the hungry, she embraces a beautiful and biblical calling, using her culinary skills to connect with others and share God’s love through the universal language of food. Beverly prioritizes sharing the Living Word as a means of equipping others for life’s challenges. she is dedicated to reaching those who may feel lost or isolated, providing them with the tools they need to navigate their journeys with faith and resilience. Her desire is to reveal the joy, love, and peace that she carries in her heart, a gift from her Lord and Savior that is freely available to all. Through her life and testimony, she embodies the belief that no one is too far gone for God’s love and that He is always pursuing each person’s heart.
Shanna Hanson
Shanna’s life is rooted in a sincere desire to know Christ and to walk faithfully with Him. She values her role as a wife and is deeply committed to nurturing a Christ-centered home alongside her husband. She is also a devoted mother to her children, whom she considers one of her greatest joys and callings. Shanna has spent many years serving women through ministry, mentorship, and worship, learning firsthand how God restores hearts and reveals His truth in every season of life. She has a deep passion for teaching biblical principles and truths to women, helping them understand who they are in Christ and how to apply God’s Word to their daily lives. Through her experiences in women’s ministry, praise and worship, and leadership, she has developed a heart for guiding women toward spiritual wholeness, freedom, and growth. As a certified Christian life coach, Shanna brings both compassion and practical insight to her mentoring, with a desire to see women healed, strengthened, and grounded in biblical truth, trusting the Holy Spirit to do the transforming work in each woman’s life. Shanna is honored to serve with Building Radiance Ministries and desires to walk alongside women as they grow deeper in their relationship with Christ, living rooted in truth, reflecting His light, and stepping confidently into the calling God has placed on their lives, all for His glory.
Monette Porter
Shaquandra Monette Porter is a devoted wife, mother, attorney, ordained minister, youth pastor, and member of the Rice University Athletics Hall of Fame who life’s mission is to share the love of Jesus with others, (whether through a smile, a kind word, or a warm embrace), and to be the signal that declares God’s grace. She ascribes her intimate relationship with Jesus and passion for encouraging others in the Lord to the daily lifestyle that her parents modeled inside and outside of their home. The greatest gift her parents ever gave her was to introduce her to Jesus. The daughter of pastors, she had the privilege of serving alongside her parents for 17 years. She is determined to leave a legacy of faith in Christ not just for her children but for all she encounters. She enjoys spending time with her family, dining at all types of restaurants, singing and listening to music and serving as youth pastor, with her husband Brian, at Celebration of Life Church in Baytown. She boldly proclaims that Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to her. He’s the greatest!

I am perfectly imperfect… God has healed me from the loss of a child, loss of a parent, divorce, single parenting, child estrangement, betrayal from some of my best friends, financial ruin, loneliness, being lied about, being cheated on, and being at the lowest point in my life more times than I can count. He took me from addiction to redemption. I was shown that He was my source, my person, my father, my best friend, and the one who could give me everything I needed if I just surrendered myself over. The journey has not been easy, but I can say today that I’m thankful. I would not be who I am today, had I not endured so much tragedy. I’m still on this journey of growth. I mess up all the time. I think I know the direction I’m supposed to go, and things don’t work out the way I thought they would. However, I live with no fear, zero worry, and belief in myself. I’m not perfect by any means, but I am me. I am my authentic self and it is so freeing! God has truly brought me to the best version of myself. I am perfectly imperfect!

Ready for something more? Check out one of our course options! They offer building blocks to bridge the gap and bring you to the next level. It’s a great step next step from small group. Be on the lookout for 1or 2-day workshops as well! There’s even opportunities to join the team to help us grow others.

Our Brilliant Strategies Leadership Academy will help you develop your talents and purposes, develop godly character traits, learn about servant leadership, and grow in godly confidence. These classes will help you to step into the role and calling the Lord has for you to while connecting you with others to build a leadership community.
